Barbados passport
Citizens of Barbados, applying in Barbados or at a mission abroad.
Machine-readable passports are valid for ten years if you are 16 or over, and five years if you are under 16. Parents or guardians must submit the application for a child aged 16 or under, and the child must come with them.
How to apply
- 1 Book an appointment.
- 2 Complete Form A if you are 16 or over, or Form B for a child under 16.
- 3 Pay the fee online and print two copies of the payment advice.
- 4 Bring your documents and both copies to your appointment.
- 5 Collect the passport in person when notified.
What you need
Bring the original of every document as well as a photocopy.
- Completed Form A (16+) or Form B (under 16)
- Two passport photographs, 5cm × 5cm, professionally taken
- Original Barbados birth certificate bearing the Registration Department seal, and a copy
- Original Barbados ID card and a copy
- Parent's Barbados ID card if applicant is under 16
- Your previous passport and a copy of its bio-data page if renewing
- Citizenship document if you were not born a citizen
- Marriage certificate, original and copy if married female
- Decree absolute, original and copy if divorced female
- Deed poll if you have changed your name
Worth knowing
- Someone else may collect on your behalf only if you are elderly, incapacitated, disabled or severely ill, with a notarised authorisation letter.
- Fees must be paid when you submit. Applications are not accepted without payment.
